How we handle your information

Virtual Mechanical Physical Therapy, PLLC ("VMPT", "we") runs this website. This policy explains what we collect through it, why, and the choices you have. Last updated September 15, 2026.

What this policy covers

This policy covers information collected through virtualmechanicalpt.com and the text messages you opt in to receive from us. It does not cover the Sesame Care platform, where visits are booked and paid for; Sesame Care has its own privacy policy. Information you share with Brian during a visit is protected health information and is handled under our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which you receive when you become a patient.

What we collect

What you give us. If you request the free videos, your name, email address, the state you are in and, if you choose, where it hurts. If you ask Brian to text you, your mobile number, name, an optional email address, an optional question, and a record of which text messages you agreed to receive and when.
How you found us. The page you were on, the site that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link you clicked. We use this to learn which pages and campaigns lead people to book.
Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider records IP addresses, browser type and pages requested. We use these only to keep the site running and secure.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we do not sell your information to anyone.

How we use it

To send you the videos, email or texts you asked for.
To answer your questions and help you decide whether VMPT fits your problem.
To tell you when VMPT can treat patients in your state, if you joined that list.
To understand which parts of the site are useful, so we can improve them.

Text messages

You only receive texts from VMPT if you opt in on this site, or if you text us first. When you opt in, you choose separately between two kinds of message:

Replies and visit follow-up: answers to your question, help with scheduling, and follow-up about your care. Frequency varies.
Tips and offers: pain-relief tips, new videos and occasional offers. Up to four texts per month.

Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of booking or purchasing any service. You can stop at any time by replying STOP to any message; reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details below. We keep a record of your consent, including the date, time and the page you used, so we can honour it and prove it.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, except with the service providers who deliver our messages, and only so that they can deliver them.

We share information only with the companies that help us run the practice, and only for that purpose:

Our customer-relationship and messaging platform, which stores contact details and sends our emails and texts.
Our web-hosting provider, which serves this site.
Sesame Care, if you choose to book a visit there.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of a patient or another person. We never sell personal information, and we never share mobile numbers or text-message consent with third parties for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep contact details and consent records for as long as you are in touch with us and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can honour opt-outs and answer questions about past contact. Clinical records are kept as New York State law requires.

Your choices

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Every text can be stopped with STOP.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to record-keeping laws for patients.
You can use this site without submitting any form at all.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions travel encrypted from your browser to our server and from our server to our messaging platform. Please do not send urgent or emergency information by email or text; for a medical emergency, call 911.

Children

This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 through it. Parents or guardians arranging care for a minor should contact us directly.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. A material change to how we use your mobile number will not take effect for existing subscribers without fresh consent.
